Ron Liberti

Born and raised in New Jersey, Liberti was fired from his first job when he blew off work to see The Ramones. His future thus foretold, he studied Art and Film at Montclair State in NJ, and went on to study printmaking in Brighton, England. In 1991, Liberti moved to Chapel Hill, NC. There he found a thriving gush of local music and art. Soon after arriving he formed the band Pipe, and began making posters. Liberti has designed posters for hundreds of shows, printed thousands by hand, and is proud of the tactile quality of his work.  There is a stylistic integrity between the homemade music he loves, and the intuitive striking imagery of his posters. He currently lives, works and plays in Carrboro, NC as a freelance designer/poster maker/artist. He also co-founded Hypno-Vista Records and is a member of the bands The Ghost of Rock , Bringerer and Poncho Holly’s Bullfight Party . His work has been seen world-wide.
