Tracy Hancock

Tracy Hancock began his studies at the Savannah College of Art and Design in 1992 before transferring to Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY in 1993. After completing his coursework in Illustration he began working for The New York Times Book Review and Henry Holt Publishing among others before moving to Durham, North Carolina with his wife Sara. He has been teaching figure drawing and painting at the Carrboro Arts Center, Durham Arts Council, as well as participating in the Carolina Friends School’s Summer Arts camps for children for several years. In addition to teaching, Tracy continues to produce and show art and illustration assignments, including in a solo show at the Semans Gallery in Durham in 2004 as well as various group shows locally. He is currently working on a new body of work.
